I’m preparing to spend some time in the Philippines! Jan 08

Well, it's gonna happen. I bought my plane ticket from LAX to Cebu Feb 3. I'm really excited to spending some time there. The return ticket is April 2 so I'm gonna spend two months there. What an adventure that's gonna be! I'll keep you up to date with vids and pics!

A bit of humor...

Hi Bud! My name is Kyle and I have been watching your youtube videos on learning Tagalog for a while now. I was watching a video on grammar and you showed the book you used, Conversational Tagalog and I was surprised to see that was the very book I had bought the day before! My fiancé, whom is a native pilipina, who also speaks Cebuano as her primary language, asked me, "I wonder where he lives?" I responded, "Probably in California."
Then we watched your video on Why You Record In Your Car? Which her whole family was asking and you said people in California love their cars. We laughed and said wouldn't it be funny if you lived in the Central Valley? I came to your blog and found your post, "Temperatures in the Central Valley." We laughed so hard!

We live in Reedley and were excited to see the similarities! Thank you so much for the link to the Peace Corps on speaking Cebuano. I wanted to learn her language so bad from a book and was unable to find a book published on Cebuano, which was my whole purpose in learning Tagalog! My Fiancé wants to know what area of the Philippines your wife is from. I was wondering where you had taught class before?
    Salamat Po!
    Best wishes on your travels!
