Although I have a lot of videos on YouTube teaching different languges, my heart has always been in teaching English as a second language. Maybe because I feel most confident because English is my first language, and I enjoy talking with people who want to learn English. It had really been years since I taught English to adults and I really missed doing it.  Well, yesterday I got a call from a lady who said her daughter-in-law, who is from Colombia, is looking for an English tutor. She was actually talking to a teacher and asked her if she could help. The teacher (with whom I used to work) told her, "You should talk with Bud Brown." and gave her my number. She called me and we arranged to meet at the local Starbucks. At the appointed time, the "Colombiana" and her mother-in-law showed up. We had a great chat and in the end, we decided to meet at the local library twice a week for English lessons. She’s happy. The mother-in-law is happy and I’m happy.

You never never know what’s around the corner.
